Non-Medical, Personal Grants to Enhance a Patient’s
Quality of Life
It is imperative to one’s well being to stay
emotionally and physically well while going through
treatment. This non-medical grant program will help pay
for a gym membership if a patient can’t afford one,
complimentary wellness programs such as massage, reiki or
yoga, a weekend away from the treatment routine for a
couple or their immediate family ... or a last wish.

When
a patient visits the hospital for a treatment they can
select a gift from a Hope Chest filled with a variety of
items such as gas cards, gift certificates to the movies
or dinner, and other pampering treats – a special
something that will help them get through that next
little bit.
We are so very thankful to the woodworking classes at
Portsmouth Regional High School and
Spaulding High School, as well as program attendees
of
Girls At Work for making six Hope Chests for us!

Working with local businesses we are able to help with a
variety of household needs such as cleaning, running
errands, transportation to an appointment, yard work or
snow removal.

There are a number of wonderful breast cancer
conferences and retreats throughout the region (and country) with a
focus on education, wellness and emotional healing.
Working with the hospitals we will identify patients
who would benefit by attending such a conference and
help them with their travel / conference expenses.

Searchable Blog for
Writing, Reading and Sharing Breast Cancer Stories
BreastCancerStories.org is a very special website
where breast cancer patients and care givers can write,
read and share their experiences with loved ones and
with one another.
The site is a wonderful
resource for patients to share medical updates with
family and friends, to receive messages of support, and
to connect directly with other patients going through a
similar experience – no matter where they are.
